Shambhala Training: Level III - Warrior in the World
with Will Handy
Shambhala Training: Level III - Warrior in the World is part of the Shambhala Path curriculum, an extensive path of training in authentic meditation practices and wisdom teachings. It builds on the presentation of basic goodness in Shambhala Level I, and the teachings on “cocoon” in Shambhala Level II.
Having learned not to turn away from fear brings the daring to extend that bravery into everyday life situations without the padding of the cocoon. We discover a softness and sensitivity to the world that feels both vulnerable and genuine. Daring and gentleness allow clear perception and ability to hear from the world. Our lives are no longer a series of threats or distractions but a call to be wakeful and responsive.
The program is open to people of all religious backgrounds or no religious background. It is recommended for new and experienced meditators as well as those looking to enrich their personal spiritual path and social action.
This program will include mediation, talks and group discussions.
Our Teacher. Will Handy is a teacher and meditation instructor at the Dallas Shambhala Meditation Center. Will was a psychotherapist for 40 years. He finds great joy in getting to start people on the first few steps of the rich Buddhist path by guiding their practice and teaching.
