"Taking the [Bodhisattva] vow is like planting the seed of a fast-growing tree, whereas something done for the benefit of ego is like sowing a grain of sand. Planting such a seed as the bodhisattva vow undermines ego and leads to tremendous expansion of perspective. Such heroism, or bigness of mind, fills space completely, utterly, absolutely" - Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

The Bodhisattva vow is central to the Mahayana ("great vehicle") view of raising bodhichitta ("awakened heart") and helping others. Bodhisattva means "the one who has awakened". Those who have previously taken the Refuge Vow and practiced accordingly can take a leap by taking the Bodhisattva Vow.

Acharya Hardin will conduct this vow ceremony with the vow takers. Community members who have already taken the Bodhisattva vow are allowed to attend.

Please register as soon as possible. A class will be scheduled to prepare vow takers for the ceremony.
