"In the Buddhist tradition, the purpose of taking refuge is to awaken from confusion and associate oneself with wakefulness. Taking refuge is a matter of commitment and acceptance and, at the same time, of openness and freedom. By taking the refuge vow we commit ourselves to freedom" - Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Acharya Hardin will conduct the vow ceremony for those community members who wish to take refuge in the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha). This ceremony is a declaration of a person's formal wish to become a Buddhist.

Vow takers are encouraged to register as soon as possible. A preparatory class will be arranged to prepare vow takers for the ceremony.
