Chihuly at the Dallas Arboretum
After being in Dallas for nearly six months, the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum closed December 31.
My husband and I got ourselves down there, motivated by the imminent close. It was cold enough to wear hats, gloves, and winter coats, but hundreds of other visitors joined us.
Known for his sea forms, Chihuly created some stunning shapes new to me for this exhibit. Giant multi-colored explosions. Lines of “ferns.”
My favorites–impossible to shoot well–were a series of five or six bluish blocks placed in a cascading streams. Perfectly situated.
