Refuge vows with Acharya Moh Hardin

We will have the annual Refuge Vow Ceremony this evening.  The ceremony is scheduled from 8pm to 9pm and is open to the public.  Family and friends are invited.

Advance notice is required so that the necessary arrangements are in place

If you are considering taking the refuge vow the deadline for requesting a name interview is Friday, Feb. 28. Please register as soon as possible to be added to the list.  The vow ceremony is free. However, there is a $10 fee for the Refuge Practice booklet for non-members.

It is appropriate to also offer a heartfelt teaching gift to the preceptors. Envelopes will be available.

If you have questions contact Joan Keagy at joan@stokelynews.com

    About the Refuge Vow

The refuge vow marks the decision to commit oneself wholeheartedly to the Buddhist path and to further one's practice and training. It is the formal commitment to being a Buddhist, following the example of the Buddha Shakyamuni, his teachings (the dharma) and joining the community (sangha) of fellow practitioners.
